A precursor interpretation for the Crab supernova 1054 A.D. very early light curve

چکیده
In spite that the Crab supernova in 1054 A.D. was studied over years, it is still not clear what type of event produced explosion. The most detailed and reliable source observed light curve recorded Chinese Japanese chronicles, suggests a quick dimming after very bright initial peak. We shall show this work can be well explained by precursor, phenomenon emerging from large sampling quite expected Stellar Evolution considerations low-mass progenitors. This early transient followed explosion itself, likely low-luminosity ``small iron core'' instead an electron-capture event. latter conclusion stems recent simulation work, which predict would render magnitude to much brighter for $\sim 3$ months, hence visible during daytime, match records.

The Light Curve of the Unusual Supernova 2003dh
SN 2003dh, one of the most luminous supernovae ever recorded, and the one with the highest measured velocities, accompanied gamma-ray burst 030329. Its rapid rise to maximum and equally rapid decline pose problems for any spherically symmetric model. We model the supernova here as a very energetic, polar explosion that left the equatorial portions of the star almost intact. The total progenitor...
متن کاملWhy did Supernova 1054 shine at late times ?
The Crab nebula is the remnant of supernova 1054 (SN 1054). The progenitor of this supernova has, based on nucleosynthesis arguments, been modeled as an 8 − 10 M ⊙ star. Here we point out that the observations of the late light curve of SN 1054, from the historical records, are not compatible with the standard scenario, in which the late time emission is powered by the radioactive decay of smal...
متن کاملInterpretation of the OGLE Q2237+0305 microlensing light-curve
The four bright images of the gravitationally lensed quasar Q2237+0305 are being monitored from the ground (eg. OGLE collaboration, Apache Point Observatory) in the hope of observing a high magnification event (HME). Over the past three seasons (1997-1999) the OGLE collaboration has produced microlensing light-curves with unprecedented coverage. These demonstrate smooth, independent (therefore ...
متن کاملSupernova light curve models for the bump in the Optical Counterpart of X - Ray Flash 030723
XRF 030723 is the first X-ray flash (XRF) to show in its optical light curve (LC) a bump that has been interpreted as the signature of a supernova (SN). After subtracting the afterglow component from the observed optical LC of the XRF counterpart, the properties of the putative SN are constrained by means of synthetic LCs of core-collapse SNe. For the redshift range z ∼ 0.3 – 1, all possible mo...
